The privacy policy of the Gravatar service can be found here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly visible in the context of your comment.

Analysis Services

Use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to analyse website usage. The data obtained from this is used to optimise our website as well as advertising measures.

Google Analytics is a web analytics service operated and provided by Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States). Google processes website usage data on our behalf and is contractually committed to measures to ensure the confidentiality of the data processed.

During your visit to the website, the following data, among others, will be recorded:

  • Pages viewed
  • Orders incl. sales and products ordered
  • The achievement of “website goals” (for example. Contact requests and newsletter sign-ups)
  • Your behaviour on the pages (for example, clicks, scrolling behaviour and dwell time)
  • Your approximate location (country and city)
  • Your IP address (in shortened form, so that no clear assignment is possible)
  • Technical information such as browser, Internet provider, terminal device and screen resolution
  • Source of origin of your visit (i.e. via which website or via which website). i.e. via which website or advertising medium you came to us)

This data is transferred to a Google server in the USA. In doing so, Google observes the data protection provisions of the “EU-US Privacy Shield” agreement.

Google Analytics stores cookies in your web browser for a period of two years since your last visit.

The recorded data is stored together with the randomly generated user ID, which allows the evaluation of pseudonymous user profiles. This user-related data is automatically deleted after 14 months. Other data remains stored in aggregated form indefinitely.

If you do not agree to the collection, you can prevent it by installing the Browser Add-on to disable Google Analytics one-time.

Security / Anti-Spam

We use reCAPTCHA to secure our site against spam. reCAPTCHA captures users’ browsing behaviour to find out if it is a spam bot. For this purpose, a JavaScript element is embedded in the source code and the tool runs in the background and analyses the user behaviour.

For the analysis of the behaviour, the following personal data is forwarded to Google:

  • IP address
  • Referrer URL (the address of the page from which the visitor came)
  • Info about the operating system (the software that enables the operation of your computer)
  • Possibly cookies
  • Mouse movements and keyboard strokes
  • Duration of visit
  • Settings of the user device (e.g. language settings, location, browser etc.)

All users can view, change or delete their personal information at any time (the username cannot be changed). Administrators of the website can also view and modify this information.

In addition, you can request the deletion of any personal data we hold about you. This does not include data we are required to retain for administrative, legal or security needs.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be examined by an automated service for spam detection. In addition, we use Google analytics and security tools that send data to Google.
